Swimming at Lemlunay Dive Resort in Saranggani

I was in General Santos City a couple of weeks ago for a short weekend vacation. We we’re supposed to attend the Tuna Festival but because the original festival schedule was moved, we took the opportunity to explore more of General Santos and its neighboring towns instead. One of the destinations we went was a dive resort with a familiar name. When I heard of Lemlunay Dive Resort, the resort’s name, I was sure I have heard it before. I wasn’t sure where, how and when. It was only after a few conversations with the owner that I realized some of my friends have been there while the resort was still in its early development phase.

Lemlunay Dive Resort is located in Maasim, Saranggani Province. It’s  a town approximately thirty minutes drive from the urban environment of General Santos City. The resort was originally marketed as South Point Divers, a diving resort. But right now, the owner is working on renovating and improving the resort to attract more guests that are not limited to divers but to regular tourists as well. Lemlunay has just started a couple of years ago and still in its development phase.

Aside from being a haven for divers, Lemlunay is a perfect destination for nature lovers and for those who wants a relaxing environment. Situated on a cliff, the view of the deep blue/green waters thirty feet below is breathe-taking. The ambiance is comparable to that of in the Greek and Mediterranean movies.

One of the fun experience we tried was the resort’s infinity pool. I have seen quite a few before from different instances but I never had the opportunity to try one. I got excited when I heard that Lemlunay has one. After snorkeling for a few minutes in the sea, we hurried back up to the cliff to take a dip in the infinity pool. Such a hurry was due to our limited time.

We spent around half an hour playing, swimming and devouring the beauty of the infinity pool. On top of that, after we had our swim, Mica decided to shoot a short film at the pool side for her project52weeks. Here’s the short film:

Here are a few more of the photos we took in Lemlunay Dive Resort.
