Dining at Little Asia in Venice Piazza Mall

For those of you who haven’t heard yet, a new mall in Taguig has opened last month. Venice Piazza Mall, owned by the management of Eastwood Malls, has opened in McKinley Hills, Taguig City last November. A few restaurants and shops have opened since November and Pinoy Lakwatsero was invited to try Little Asia’s symphony of flavors.

Upon entering the restaurant, the tiny little lamp umbrellas caught my attention. The place is not big but the owners didn’t hold back in spending for the decoration and ornaments. The place is elegant but don’t be fooled with the looks once you see their menu.

Pineapple Fried Rice, P225

Instead of serving plain rice, the owners offered us with Pineapple Fried Rice ?. It’s like Yang Chow with  a twist.  I think I’ve tried a similar rice dish from Polu Kai Grill in Serendra.

Boneless Tilapia with Honey Mayo Sauce, P215

The Boneless Tilapia with Honey Mayo Sauce didn’t sell out much among us. There was nothing extraordinary about the dish except for its sauce. IMO, 215 is too much for one filleted tilapia.

We also had their signature dish, the Little Asia’s Crispy Chicken?, and the Vietnamese Crispy Squid with Garlic.

The winner for me that night in our Little Asia experience are the Beef Tenderloin Rolls with Cheese in Teriyaki Sauce??? and the Thai Eggplant with Minced Pork and Shrimps??.

Since I love eggplants, the Thai Eggplant with Minced Pork and Shrimps was a hit for me. I’ve tried baked eggplants with mozarella cheese and other variations of cooking eggplants before but Little Asia’s Thai Eggplant with Minced Pork and Shrimps was a new experience for me and I loved it.

The Beef Tenderloin Rolls with Cheese in Teriyaki Sauce was the best among the dishes served that night. The sweet melted cheese mixed perfectly well with the salty-sweet teriyaki sauce. I would have preferred if the beef tenderloin used was thicker. Nonetheless, it was still the best dish.

Little Asia also have branches in Tomas Morato cor Scount Fuentabella Streets, Quezon CIty and another one at the 2nd level of the Promenade Mall in Greenhills, San Juan City.

Can you please give me driving directions to get to this Little Asia restaurant, coming from Ortigas? Do they serve really thick noodles Chow Mein at this restaurant? Thanks.
