Virgin Island is a hidden oasis in Panglao, Bohol. Not a lot of people knows about this paradise. During our two-day vacation in Panglao, the pilot of the boat we rented suggested if we’re interested in the idea of docking at the Virgin Island, a sand bar few kilmeters off the shores of Panglao. With 500 pesos, we agreed to have a lunch picnic at the Virgin Island.

The stretch of the crescent-shaped sandbar of Virgin Island.

The sight of the sand island is such a beautiful experience. Most of us got excited to deep into the shallow pristine waters of the island. One advantage is we were alone in the island. No other tourists were there to share the island with.

If you’re planning for a trip to Virgin Island, I suggest that you do other side trips before you enjoy the islands’ bach. Dolphin watching in the morning and a visit to the fish sanctuary are among the choices. Sometimes, trips off the beaten path brings wonders to our travels.

The deal was worth it (or even more). With our five hundred bucks, we made our Bohol Trip complete.
