Thrill of the Trail in NUVALI

The North Face is bringing the third edition of the Thrill of the Trail running series to NUVALI, Ayala Land’s most recent project which is located in Sta. Rosa, Laguna. The Thrill of the Trail series is a campaign to promote trail running here in the Philippines. They have done trail marathons in Nasugbu, Batangas and Cagayan de Oro, Mindanao. With NUVALI’s 1,600-hecatares of land, the location is very apt for the 11k and 22k categories.

The event will be on February 14, 2010. Since it falls on Valentine’s day, the organizers added a twist in their 11k couples category. The Thrill of the Trail couples category will require participant couples (without gender restrictions) to cross the finish line together while holding hands. Sweet.

The Thrill of the Trail here in the Philippines is just a tune-up event for running enthusiasts and endurance runners. A much bigger event, the North Face 100 Trail Running Ultra Marathon, will be held in five different countries (Australia, China, Philippines, Japan and Taiwan) in Asia Pacific.
